Hello everyone. I am eagerly settling into the Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material (AICCM) Executive Officer (EO) role. I work from a home-based office in Curtin, Canberra, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week. Many of you would be aware that the new EO role is an AICCM initiative developed to assist the guiding of AICCM’s strategic direction into the future. I am really keen to dedicate my skills and experience to embedding and solidifying the EO role in the best possible way. My most immediate EO tasks are drafting AICCM annual reporting to the Australian Charities Not for Profit Commission (ACNC), completing the draft AICCM procedures manual, working with the Reconciliation Action Plan Special Interest Group and helping successful recipients of the AICCM ‘50K for 50 years’ grants to investigate further funding opportunities. I am acutely aware that the Christmas / New Year / January 2024 period is  a time for catching up and relaxing. So I am hoping to complete a final draft ACNC annual report before Christmas. For those who need to review and approve it, I hope this will alleviate one small burden over the festive season. Please contact me for any of your AICCM EO enquiries
