Abstract
The purpose of this poster is to raise awareness of pop-up, flick-through, pull-down, push-up and all other kinds of moveable books. These objects (and other moveable paper toys) with their many moving and folding parts, present particular challenges to the conservator faced with repairing them. A case study of the conservation of one such book, dating from 1899, is planned. As background research, several different types of moveable book have been collected and photographed.
