Tegan Anthes operates as a preventive conservation consultant to the heritage sector. Sharing over 25 years of conservation experience through consultations, training workshops, collection assessments and disaster prevention, response and recovery.

Tegan has always worked in the disaster prevention and recovery specialisation of conservation. Initially as the Disaster Coordinator at the State Library of NSW where Tegan developed the disaster response plan and subsequently trained the entire staff on response and recovery for the library collection. Then from 2008 to 2019 Tegan worked at Preservation Australia, where she co-developed and facilitated international workshops on disaster prevention and recovery as well as a range of workshops for community museums, state institutions and national organisations.

Since 2019 Tegan has operated independently and continued to educate, support and collaborate with communities in the heritage sector on disaster prevention and recovery, as well as all aspects of preventive conservation.
