What is ArtsNational?

ArtsNational is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, providing superbly illustrated, informative and entertaining lecture presentations on many diverse topics relating to the arts. International and local lecturers are recognised experts who are passionate about their fields of interest. They are drawn from a variety of professional backgrounds. ArtsNational is proud to be the governing body of 36 ArtsNational societies with more than 5,500 members across regional and metropolitan Australia.

In many communities, the local ArtsNational society has become the focus of cultural activities, connecting people with the arts and with each other. Most societies support young people to engage in the arts through their Young Arts programs and many record the histories of School of Arts buildings or churches or the objects inside. ArtsNational

also supports young conservators through its philanthropic fund, the Patricia Robertson Fund (PRF). Each year the PRF provides mid-career scholarships to conservators as well as awards to conservation students.

ArtsNational is a firm believer in the transformative power of the arts to enhance lives. Its mission is to serve as a beacon of inclusivity and influence as it educates, supports and advocates for the arts across Australia, fostering a vibrant and diverse cultural landscape.
