Planning for the 2025 AICCM National Conference is underway, and we are seeking volunteers for the conference committee. The Queensland Division will be hosting the conference in Meanjin (Brisbane) with support from the National Council, the AICCM Reconciliation Committee and external partners. We are exploring a theme that reflects on the preservation of First Nations cultural materials in Australia. The conference aims to both activate and promote the current AICCM Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). It will provide a forum for AICCM members, First Nations peoples, local, national and international stakeholders, makers and audiences to explore histories and ways to improve future practices to care for our cultural heritage in Australia.

To bring diverse perspectives and skills into conference planning, we are seeking AICCM volunteers – both those who will sit on the committee and monthly meetings, and those with an interest in the theme who can be called upon to undertake tasks as they arise. No experience required, just a willingness to contribute (large or small), share your expertise and learn.

This is a great opportunity to network with other conservators and partner with community across Australia.
