Join the NSW division at SLNSW for an informal evening exploring the development of the Wedgular modular book cradle system. Beginning in the Ainsworth Collection Care Lab, the session will include a demonstration and discussion of how the system was developed to support a large and varied exhibition program.

Designed as a safe, reusable, and efficient alternative to traditional bespoke cradles, Wedgular provides a modular approach to supporting bound volumes across a wide range of sizes, structures, and opening angles. The system uses reusable black mountboard components that interlock on a baseplate, allowing cradles to be configured quickly, adjusted as needed, repaired by replacing individual parts, and documented for repeat use.

Following the lab session, attendees will be invited on a tour of Amaze 200, where the system is currently in use, offering a chance to see Wedgular in an exhibition setting. Afterwards, all are welcome to head up to the library bar for a drink and an informal chat.

When: Thursday 25 June 4-6pm

Details will be circulated to NSW members via email on 11 June.
