AICCM-QLD Division members are invited to join us for our second in a series of Conservation Conversations as Emily Kelleher, Assistant Paintings Conservator, shares her experience  participating in Fusion 2: Asia-Pacific, a professional development workshop hosted by the Art Gallery of New South Wales in collaboration with the Getty Foundation’s Conserving Canvas initiative.

Delivered over three phases during 2024-25, the workshop explored minimally invasive treatment methods for the structural repair of canvas paintings, with a particular focus on the single-thread bonding technique. Emily will provide an overview of the workshop’s key concepts and practical applications and present a case study of a tear-mending treatment undertaken as part of the program’s follow-up phase.

Bring your lunch and join us in person, or attend online if you are unable to make it to the State Library Queensland.
