Kate McKay is a paintings conservator with a Master of Cultural Materials Conservation (Paintings) from the University of Melbourne. She has worked across leading private conservation studios in Melbourne and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, specialising in the examination, treatment, and preventive care of paintings. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Painting) with Honours, and her fine art background continues to guide her approach to conservation. Alongside her conservation practice, Kate brings experience across the wider arts sector, including gallery operations, exhibition support, and public engagement.
