Vic Division started the year in celebratory mode with drinks to coincide with the Wolbers course being held at Museums Victoria in January. The new committee then met for a half day planning session on Saturday 17th February. We took this opportunity to further discuss what we want to work towards this year and start to plan our calendar of events. We are aiming to put together a program that provides a mix of social events, events with a professional focus, and events that engage with allied colleagues and the public. Further details are on their way, but events coming up include a lab tour of the NGV, our winter movie night, exhibition talks, a site visit, a ‘Job Panel’ discussion organised with SC@M, and other ‘off the record’ sessions featuring the amazing work of our membership. We will also start organising the 2019 National Conference soon – so stay tuned for news on this!
