This is a night of talks sharing the experiences and knowledge gained from international training experiences. Spanning three countries, the speakers travelled around the world to attend workshops, conference and symposiums. The talks cover multiple specialisations – from scientific approaches to paper and photograph conservation in Beijing China, to outdoor sculpture conservation at the Getty Conservation Institute.

  • Analiese Treacy will discuss her experiences in Beijing, China attending the IIC-ITCC 2018 Workshop and Symposium ‘Scientific Approaches to Paper and Photograph Conservation’.
  • Colin MacGregor will speak about the recent Icon Triennial International held in Belfast, Northern Ireland with the theme ‘New Perspectives: Contemporary Conservation Thinking and Practice’.
  • Lucilla Ronai will talk about her trip to the United States of America, visiting conservation laboratories along the east coast and review the AIC Annual Meeting 2019.
  • Nicholas Flood will share insights from his recent trip to the Getty Conservation Institute to attend a week long workshop on Surface Treatment Strategies for Outdoor Painted Sculpture.
Please arrive at 5.30pm and the talks will start at 6.00pm sharp. The event will finish at 7.30pm.
