AICCM Tasmanian Division

Tasmanian Herbarium's oldest specimen, collected during Captain James Cook's first voyage in the Endeavour, 1769-1771. It was collected in New Zealand before the expedition sighted the East Coast of Australia. The AICCM Tasmanian Division met in May 2016 in Hobart. AICCM matters along with member news were discussed over lunch at a local café. Cross intuitional loans and exhibitions were also talked over. Following the meeting, a small group visited the Tasmanian Herbarium where we had a tour of the repository and preparation rooms. Preparation, pest control and storage methods were examined and information shared. It was interesting with both Herbarium staff and AICCM members benefitting from the visit.
