The CENTRE FOR CULTURAL MATERIALS CONSERVATION at the University of Melbourne provides museum standard conservation work and advice by qualified and experienced conservators; preventive care of collections; conservation management plans for collections in Australia, and the Asia Pacific region; technical analysis and authentication of artworks. We offer specialist conservation and restoration treatment of: Paintings - painted works on canvas, panel, mixed media; Paper - paper-based objects such as artworks (prints, drawings, watercolours), books, scrolls, archival materials and photographic material; Objects - all three-dimensional objects, including archaeological, ethnographic, sculptures and installation pieces, sporting memorabilia; Textiles - tapestries, hangings, costumes; Frames - frames, gilded objects and conservation framing.
