Reminiscences from Ian Batterham, the outgoing Newsletter editor

I remember the moment I agreed to take on the Newsletter. It was at the National Council Face-to-Face meeting in 2012. Fiona Tennant from ICS had been editing the Newsletter for a long time (and doing a brilliant job!) and felt it was time to pass it on – new blood, new perspective and all that.


We all know someone amazing in conservation - now is your chance to celebrate that person's talents and contributions by nominating them for an award. This year AICCM will be accepting nominations for six awards:

AICCM Vic Call for Speakers – Australian Heritage Festival event

The AICCM Victorian Branch Committee invites applications from potential speakers for a public event entitled ‘Stories from Conservation’, to be held on the evening of Tuesday 15th May, at the Melbourne Museum Theatre.

West Australian Division Update

The Western Australia state division is steadily getting into the swing of things for 2018. The state committee has had one planning meeting and another is planned for the near future.

Victorian Division Update

Vic Division started the year in celebratory mode with drinks to coincide with the Wolbers course being held at Museums Victoria in January. The new committee then met for a half day planning session on Saturday 17th February.

NSW Division Update

New South Wales NSW Division claims it is still recovering from National Conference last year and is wondering how long this excuse will wash.
