Since the beginning of this year the Gilded Objects Conservation Special Interest Group and the Conservation Framers Special Interest Group Convenors have been preparing for the next Frame Symposium, which will take place in Sydney in 2019 (possibly October). After a successful 2016 symposium in Melbourne it was decided that the symposium will be organised triennially. Information will be sent as soon as the date is confirmed.
GOCSIC is planning a couple of events this year including a lecture presentation on gilded objects conservation and gold leaf applications on different surfaces.
