AICCM seeks an Executive Officer to lead and oversee the strategic and operational directions of the Institute. Working with the AICCM National Council, the incumbent will:

  • oversee key governance tasks, including annual business planning activities and tasks associated with the AICCM Strategic Plan;

  • manage relationships with AICCM contractors;

  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including donors, philanthropic groups, government and media representatives;

  • work with AICCM members and volunteer committees to deliver events, workshops and other professional and outreach activities.

This is a leadership role requiring excellent business development and communication skills. It would suit someone with a high capacity for self-directed work and with experience working with volunteer groups. It will be advantageous to have an existing understanding of cultural materials conservation and its place in the Australian arts, heritage and education sectors.

  • Part-time – 22 hours per week, flexible

  • Fixed term position (three years)

  • Remote work – own office required

  • $90,000 per annum (pro rata) plus superannuation

  • Paid leave entitlements

  • Reports to the AICCM National Council, with the AICCM President as key contact
