Karina has been a member of the conservation profession for over 20 years. She has worked across the cultural heritage sector nationally and internationally with experience in museums and galleries, heritage, archaeological projects, contemporary art, preventive conservation and collections management.
About the business
One Conservation specialises in the conservation of art, objects and heritage, including contemporary artworks, sculpture, monuments, historical artefacts, archaeological remains, art installations, architectural features, and museum and gallery collections. Our materials conservators and heritage professionals have worked extensively in Australia as well as internationally on a wide and varied range of projects. We provide a mix of conservation and preservation services to prolong the existence of the cultural materials we work on. We are skilled in carrying out repairs, restoration and/or stabilisation treatments for a wide variety of objects, artworks and artefacts. Our services also include condition assessments, conservation specifications and methodologies, preventive conservation, whole-of-collection preservation, exhibition preparation and display, relocations and installs, storage and rehousing, and disaster preparedness and remediation. We also enjoy working collaboratively with community organisations and can assist with grant applications, collection management and museum skills training. We are based in Melbourne and Sydney and regularly travel regionally and interstate for projects.
