Conservation in Australia. Proceedings of the ICCM National Conference, Canberra, May 1976 (1977), pp.77-79

Abstract

This paper describes the basic principles of pest control in museums. It stresses the importance of good housekeeping, along with environmental control and sensible storage and display facilities to reduce pest problems. A description of the major pest species and their control is given. In addition to the traditional insecticides, the use of controlled atmospheres as a precaution against insect infestation is discussed.
