Abstract

At long last the existence of biological materials has been recognized as worthy of attention from conservators. This paper discusses the problems of conservation and storage of natural science collections ranging from Dinosaurs to Diatoms. Recommendations are made for the establishment of a body to carry out research into the stabilization and preservation of biological materials.
