AICCM privacy policy

AICCM acknowledges and respects your privacy, and we are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act.

  • The personal details you provide to AICCM are collected and retained for the purpose of processing your membership and to provide you with the full range of member’s services offered by AICCM.
  • AICCM does not hire or sell membership lists to others, and we take care to protect the privacy of your email address when emailing to a large group.
  • AICCM will use the information to supply you with AICCM publications and to keep you informed about professional issues, employment opportunities, and upcoming national and international events.
  • If you do not wish to receive emails from us you can opt out of all AICCM emails using the link provided at the bottom of all our email communications.
  • Your mailing address details will be provided to external agencies that have undertaken to mail the above information to you.
  • The AICCM website lists the contact details of AICCM Office Bearers, AICCM members, as well as a listing of those members who have indicated that they are willing to supply professional conservation services to the public. This information is provided to assist members to contact each other, and the general public to contact conservation practitioners who are members of AICCM.

  • You may request us not to include your details on the mailing list, the website and in the Membership Directory, by updating your membership record online here: https://aiccm.org.au/your-account-0
  • As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically. When you visit our websites, we automatically collect the following types of information through Google Analytics: information about the device you use to access the Internet (such as the internet protocol (IP) address, internet service provider (ISP) or mobile carrier, proxy server, device type, browser and add-ons, and operating system), referring/exit pages, date/time stamps, information on your shopping behaviour on our website (e.g., page views, paths you take through our websites, etc.), general geographic location information (e.g., country or city) that shows where you are when browsing our websites, and search terms that you enter to reach our websites or enter on our websites to find products. We utilize analytics services and log files to help us track the efficacy of our websites, help us learn more about our how our visitor use our site, and for troubleshooting and maintenance purposes. We may collect and summarise customer and visitor information in a non-personal, aggregate format for statistical and research purposes.   • If you sign up to receive the AICCM eNewsletter, we will use your data to send you the eNewsletters or send updates about the eNewsletter only. We will not provide your data to any third parties.   • If you end your membership with AICCM, we may keep some of your data even after your membership account is closed if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms and Conditions, or fulfil your request to “unsubscribe” from further messages from us. We will destroy your personal data when it is no longer needed for the above purposes.
