Sandi Mitchell: Professional Membership Officer

Sandi has gained her sound conservation experience working in both the private and public sector since commencing her work in the industry in 2006 while studying her Bachelor in Art Theory from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. In 2010 she completed her Masters of Cultural Materials Conservation from the University of Melbourne specialising in paintings conservation.

After graduation from Melbourne University Sandi spent several years working in the private sector on projects that took her across Australia including Northern Territory, Tasmania, New South Wales and Victoria. In 2013 Sandi received the H.D.T Williamson Fellowship and spent two years working in the in paintings conservation department at the National Gallery of Victoria. This was followed by the role of Project Coordinator of the John Herbert- Conservation Live Project held at the National Gallery of Victoria in early 2015. In mid 2015 Sandi joined the team at David Stein & Co. in Sydney in the role of Painting Conservator which she currently still holds. Sandi has published and presented in both industry and public forums and is currently a member of the NSW AICCM Committee.
